___________________________________________

As a furry artist, and a commissioned artist in general, I make this promise to you, my viewer, fan, customer, fellow artist or whatever you may be.

I WILL NEVER:
Treat you like you are lesser than me just because I can draw.
Put less effort into the art I do for you than the art I do for myself.
Treat you like you are lesser than me because you are into a kink that I'm not.
Say anything to anyone about you that I wouldn't have (or haven't) told you to your face.
Be anything less than polite to you (unless of course you leave me no other choice).
Rip off your characters, ideas, images, identity, or art style.
Act like an elitest in any way, shape or form.
Tell the rest of my viewers/fans/customers/fellow artists/etc anything you ask me not to, unless I feel it might harm you or them.
Disappear off the face of the internet when I owe you art.
Publically cry Art Theft! or draw negative attention to you when I can deal with it myself, and in private.

I WILL ALWAYS:
Keep what's private, private, and deal with issues in a straightforward and polite manner.
Be willing to talk to anyone who wants to be my friend.
Be straightforward and honest with you about everything, especially if you ask me a direct question.
Provide you with the best art that I can, to the best of my ability, and as quickly as I can without quality loss.
Be willing to take critique, and harsh critique at that (with the exception of one or two private images which were posted because someone else told me to post them ^^;)
Want to learn more, get better, improve my art and let you help me do it.
Be as understanding and sympathetic to your needs as I can, to the best of my ability, on any topic you can come up with.
Provide as many references, examples and explanations as you need to feel comfortable.
Meet any reasonable deadline you can come up with.

And finally, I will always remember who I am, where I came from, who got me there, and the very true fact that no matter how well I can draw or paint, no matter how fast, and no matter how well known I become--I am a human being just like you, and we both deserve the same fair treatment.

All commissioners will receive a large (usually 1500 x 1500 pixels or more), unwatermarked version of their image via email and/or the original real media work. I will also post (if I wish) a smaller (under 800 x 800 pixels depending on level of detail), watermarked version to my galleries. I reserve the right to use the full, unwatermarked image, and to produce and sell prints of it. The commissioner will also have permission to use the image as they please, except for commercial purposes (ie you may not make any profit off of your commission). I would prefer it if the commissioner did not alter the image, although they may if they wish.

Purchasers of originals have permission to use the image as they please provided they do not distribute high resolution scans of it (anything over 800 x 800 pixels and/or 100 DPI), alter it, or use it for commercial purposes (ie you may not make a profit off of the original or scans and prints thereof). All characters are © their owners and are not for sale or use by anyone else. I reserve the right to use the image, produce and sell prints of it, etc.
If at any time during the commission process (the time between payment and completion of the image) I determine that the commissioner is too difficult to work with, I will provide a partial refund. The commissioner will be charged for materials, work completed, transaction costs and shipping (if there is any).
All payment is required up front, before work is started. Should the commissioner be wary about completion, references will be provided.

Image rights and copyrights may be available for purchase by the original commissioner; contact for more information if interested.

Homophobia and You:

I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.

I am the prostitute working the streets because nobody will hire a transsexual woman.

I am the sister who holds her gay brother tight through the painful, tear-filled nights.

We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.

I am the man who died alone in the hospital because they would not let my partner of twenty-seven years into the room.

I am the foster child who wakes up with nightmares of being taken away from the two fathers who are the only loving family I have ever had. I wish they could adopt me.

I am one of the lucky ones, I guess. I survived the attack that left me in a coma for three weeks, and in another year I will probably be able to walk again.

I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school. It was simply too much to bear.

We are the couple who had the realtor hang up on us when she found out we wanted to rent a one-bedroom for two men.

I am the person who never knows which bathroom I should use if I want to avoid getting the management called on me.

I am the mother who is not allowed to even visit the children I bore, nursed, and raised. The court says I am an unfit mother because I now live with another woman.

I am the domestic-violence survivor who found the support system grow suddenly cold and distant when they found out my abusive partner is also a woman.

I am the domestic-violence survivor who has no support system to turn to because I am male.

I am the father who has never hugged his son because I grew up afraid to show affection to other men.

I am the home-economics teacher who always wanted to teach gym until someone told me that only lesbians do that.

I am the woman who died when the EMTs stopped treating me as soon as they realized I was transsexual.

I am the person who feels guilty because I think I could be a much better person if I didn’t have to always deal with society hating me.

I am the man who stopped attending church, not because I don't believe, but because they closed their doors to my kind.

I am the person who has to hide what this world needs most, love.

I am the person who is afraid of telling his loving Christian parents he loves another male.

Repost this if you realize homophobia is wrong.

Dos/Don'ts

Do be straightforward! I greatly value straightforwardness in all things. Don't dance around what you want, when you want it, stuff like that. When reviewing your sketch/ink/whatever, be as blunt as possible about what is right and what is wrong. I need your help to make your picture exactly what you're looking for. I promise you cannot offend or embarass me no matter how hard you try. However, if you're going to be downright rude, please do it in private ;3

Do be patient! I will try to estimate for you when I will get to your commission, but I am not infallible. I work on commissions every weekday from 8am to 5pm (with an hour for lunch ;3), and I try to keep my list short enough that you don't have to wait longer than two months, but sometimes things happen. I will keep you posted of any delays.

Do be polite! This should be a no-brainer. I'm human, just like you.

Do ask for progress! Even if I have nothing to show you yet, I'd rather you contact me if you're feeling unsure about what stage your commission is at. I'll send you a sketch when it's done, and inks when they're done, but if you want more than that, ask!

Do understand my terms! I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have, but it generally goes smoother if you read this page and my Legal Stuff page before asking :3

Do give me TONS of references! The more, the better! Character pictures, reference sheets, textual descriptions, photos of yourself, photos of your favourite animal, photos of your desired pose, snippets of roleplay, link to your gallery, link to your webpage. References help me to make your picture more accurate... plus, I just like looking at pretty pictures 83

Do pay first! Sorry, but I take money first. I've been burned >.O So you'll have to pay in full before I get started. I can provide references (past commissioners) who can vouch for me if you need them.

Don't be shy! I love to make friends and talk and such! Please come talk to me!

Don't be vague! I can't read your mind. Tell me exactly what you want.

Don't commission me for a character that isn't yours without permission. I'll need an email from the character's owner. This applies especially to trademarked characters like Sonic or Simba. Legally there has to be a 30% difference apparent for me to draw a trademarked character for you (so I can draw you having sex with Anthro Simba, but not movie Simba. Likewise, I could draw an anthro blue hedgehog for you, but not Sonic and not in the Sonic style.)

Some characters are not covered under this, such as Japanese characters or some Hasbro characters. If you're not sure, ask.

Commission Info/Pricing

You need to know this stuff!

When you commission me, you are agreeing to the following terms: [link]
Please keep in mind that you are agreeing to allow me to produce and sell prints of your image. If you do not wish your image to be printed, there is an extra charge (see below).

All my real media work is on 8.5" x 11" bristol or cardstock PAPER and done with a combination of watercolor, prismacolor/tria markers, and colored pencil. If you want anything else, ASK. I can do anything your twisted little brains can think up.
All my digital work is done in Photoshop on roughly a 4000 x 3000 pixel canvas. You will receive an image no smaller than 1500 x 1500 pixels. If you need a larger image, ASK.

I accept: Paypal, money orders, and cheques. Paypal is preferred. I will not start on your image until the money clears.

ALL PRICES ARE IN US DOLLARS.

Prices vary according to detail and may be changed without warning at any time. The prices given here are baselines, the minimum cost; your commission may cost more depending on detail, subject matter, etc. I will never make you pay more than the quote I gave you at the time of payment (ie, if you pay $15 for an inked picture, then the price changes to $20, I'm not going to ask for an extra $5 if you've already paid).

Shipping and Handling is $4 within the US & Canada, or $10 overseas. This may vary according to weight, size, insurance, and what country you're in.

Trading Dos/Don'ts

I am currently closed for trades.

Do tell me what you want! Don't be afraid to tell me if you have an idea in mind!

Do be patient! Sometimes I can take a REALLY long time with trades, because most of my artwork is paid for and I don't have a lot of spare time for free art.

Don't be shy! I love to make friends and talk and such! Please come talk to me!

Don't draw me giftart and expect something in return. I love gifts! But, I don't love being FORCED into a trade. Chances are, if you draw something for me, I will try to do you something in return when I have free time! But, I don't always have the time, sadly :C
